Learning to 'let go' of tension sounds like it should be a simple enough thing to do.

However, to do it fully and consistently can require great strength and self awareness. Our ability to do so effectively can profoundly influence our emotional and physical health, as well as providing us with coping mechanisms for dealing with the demands, stresses and strains of modern life.
