Updated: Jun 5, 2020

Head and neck positioning. A simple yet critical postural correction.

Poor habits and modern lifestyles, can lead to a great number of undue stresses and strains. These can be physical and mental, as they are both very closely linked.

How we position and hold our head can mean the difference between a well aligned spinal column or massive additional loads and strains as well as a horrible hinge in the back of our neck. Causing lots of tension in our shoulders and back. Not nice! Corrections are rarely, if ever, just a one time thing. They require us to repeatedly remind ourselves again and again. It's really important that we learn to be aware of our bodies and the positions they are in, as we move them, load them or hold them. Repeating a movement or correction so often that it becomes a new, good habit and eventually just feels 'right'.
